"Elastic"

A bar stool designed for comfort.

This sophomore project was to design a seating device. The bar stool had a seat made of elastic material. It was designed to bounce when the user sat on it, thus providing comfort.


 

Skills Employed:

• Bending of large pieces of thick polystyrene plastic.

• Forming with thick aluminum sculpture wires.

• Application of epoxy high-power adhesive.
